About Rob Bovey

Rob Bovey is a software developer specializing in Microsoft Office, Visual Basic and SQL Server applications. He brings more than twenty years' experience creating financial, operations, and reporting systems to Application Professionals.

Prior to becoming a full-time software developer, Rob's experience included positions as Quality Control Supervisor for Federal PaperBoard Company and Financial Analyst for Union Camp Corporation. Rob's previous software development experience includes positions as Programmer/Analyst for LEX Software Systems, Senior Consultant for the Baarns Consulting Group, and Senior Systems Consultant for the Payne Consulting Group.

Rob developed several add-ins shipped by Microsoft for Microsoft Excel. He co-authored the Microsoft Excel 97 Developers Kit, the Excel 2002, 2003 and 2007 VBA Programmer’s References and Professional Excel Development. Microsoft awarded him the title of Most Valuable Professional (MVP) for fifteen consecutive years from 1995 though 2010.

Rob earned his Bachelor of Science degree from The Rochester Institute of Technology and his MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and a Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD).
